Supervisor, Procurement – IT Systems
Job Description:
- Full responsibility for both services and tangible items
- Recognition of, and advisement on, the most appropriate procurement type
- Oversight of the public sector procurement processes to ensure compliance
- Developing and managing a vast array of contracts including Requests for Proposals, Bids, Quotations
- Training staff on Lean Methodologies
- Leading Process improvement projects that impact overall supply chain performance
- Optimizing supply chain efficiency by implementing best practices
- Enhancing supplier relationships and driving cost savings throughout the supply chain
- Collaborating cross-functionally to align procurement strategies with organizational goals
Requirements:
- Six (6) years of professional procurement and contracts experience in a Procurement Department or Agency
- Supervisory/lead capacity experience required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, degree preferably in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- In lieu of the required degree, a High School Diploma, AND a minimum of three (3) Procurement Training Certifications achieved within the last three (3) years will be required: - from recognized professional Procurement/Supply Chain organizations - Public Agency
- Possession of a certificate as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
- Six Sigma Certification is desired
