Aviation Buyer
We are looking for an experienced Aviation Buyer to support aftermarket aircraft parts sourcing and procurement on a remote, part-time basis.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of aircraft components, aftermarket procurement, supplier sourcing, repair management, and aviation documentation standards. Experience working with commercial aircraft parts, MROs, distributors, and logistics providers is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Source and procure aircraft components from approved vendors, distributors, MROs, and brokers.
- Review quotes, availability, lead times, traceability, and certification documents.
- Understand and evaluate part conditions including New, Overhauled, Serviceable, Repairable, and Beyond Economic Repair.
- Manage repair orders, exchanges, core returns, and supplier follow-up.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with logistics providers such as FedEx, DHL, and UPS.
- Support RFQs, purchase orders, vendor communication, and customer requirements.
- Experience in aviation aftermarket parts procurement.
- Familiarity with FAA 8130, EASA Form 1, airworthiness tags, AS9120/AS9110 standards, and traceability requirements.
- Understanding of aircraft component conditions, repair management, and MRO processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Availability during Eastern Time business hours, preferably Miami time.
