Vulnerability Management / Tenable & Metrics Analyst

Clearance Required: Active Secret or above


Role Overview: Analyst supporting vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and dashboard reporting in a federal environment. Execution and coordination role, not an enterprise security lead or ISSO.


Key Responsibilities

  • Run authorized Tenable/Nessus scans; analyze exports for CVEs, severity, KEVs, and affected assets
  • Build and maintain Tenable-native dashboards and Power BI/Excel reports for vulnerability posture and leadership reporting
  • Track Critical/High/KEV findings, remediation ownership, aging, blockers, and closure evidence
  • Reconcile data across Tenable, iPost, ServiceNow/Jira, POA&M trackers, and SharePoint
  • Coordinate with technical and government stakeholders to drive findings through closure


Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance or above
  • 1–3 years in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, IT ops, or related field
  • Hands-on Tenable/Nessus experience (scans, dashboards, exports, plugins, CVEs)
  • Intermediate Power BI (transforms, DAX, dashboards) and strong Excel (pivots, lookups, VLOOKUPs)
  • Familiarity with KEV, CVE, POA&M, remediation workflows, and false positive validation
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, SharePoint, or similar tools


Preferred

  • Federal cybersecurity program experience
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, ATO, CISA KEV, or BOD 22-01
  • Exposure to DevSecOps, SAST/DAST, container/secrets scanning, or SBOM tooling
