UX Designer

Our client, a leading financial services organization is seeking a senior-level UX Designer to support the development of a a B2B payments platform. This role will play a critical part in shaping user-centered experiences for a complex, enterprise-grade product, with the opportunity to influence foundational design decisions as the product and team scale.

The UX Designer will lead design workstreams for a B2B payments initiative, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders including product, engineering, and business partners. This individual will bring a strong systems-thinking mindset and a deep understanding of enterprise user needs to deliver intuitive, scalable design solutions.

This is a contract engagement starting June 1 through the end of the year, with the potential to extend. The position is based in New York requiring 2-3 days per week onsite (Tuesday-Thursday preferred), and offers up to 40 hours per week.

UX Designer Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design workstreams for a new B2B payments tool, from concept through delivery
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define user needs and translate them into effective design solutions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma (Figma Make experience is a plus)
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience
- Contribute to the evolution of design systems and patterns as the product and team grow
- Present design concepts and rationale confidently to stakeholders and leadership

UX Designer Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in UX/product design, ideally within B2B or enterprise environments
- Strong proficiency in Figma (Figma Make preferred)
- Proven ability to independently lead design initiatives and manage workstreams
- Experience designing complex workflows, particularly in FinTech or payments (highly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making
- Strong communication and presentation skills

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
