Summary GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks a remote System Integrator II – Scientific is responsible for integrating and validating software applications, tools, and services to create a cohesive and fully functional environment. The incumbent configures, tests, and software components deploy to ensure seamless interoperability within scientific or enterprise computing systems. This role emphasizes software integration, troubleshooting, and verification activities rather than new feature development. The Software Integrator II ensures all software modules and interfaces operate efficiently and reliably in real-world operational settings. Supervisory Responsibilities N/A Essential functions/responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.<ul><li>Integrate scientific or enterprise applications into operational computing environments.</li><li>Modify configuration files, APIs, or interfaces to enable proper communication between systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot integration issues, including data flow, compatibility, and versioning problems.</li><li>Support testing, validation, and documentation to ensure successful deployment of integrated systems.</li><li>Coordinate with software developers, system administrators, testers, and stakeholders to resolve integration challenges.</li><li>Maintain accurate integration documentation, release notes, and operational procedures.</li><li>Monitor system performance post-integration and recommend adjustments to improve reliability and interoperability.</li><li>Stay current with emerging technologies, integration tools, and best practices relevant to scientific or enterprise systems.</li></ul>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Information Security and Confidentiality Obligations<ul><li>Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific/technical discipline.</li><li>2–4 years of experience in system integration, software deployment, or IT operations.</li><li>Hands-on experience integrating enterprise or scientific applications in operational environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of configuration management, APIs, interfaces, and data flow between systems.</li><li>Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving software integration issues.</li><li>Excellent documentation, communication, and coordination skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Professional certificates ITIL, PMP, or related integration/project management certifications are preferred. </li><li>Experience with HPC, cloud platforms, or distributed computing environments.</li><li>Familiarity with software version control, orchestration tools, and release management.</li><li>Knowledge of scientific computing frameworks or enterprise business applications.</li></ul>Work authorization/security clearance requirements<ul><li>Ability to obtain a security clearance.</li></ul>Work environment<ul><li>This work is normally completed in a remote environment.</li></ul>Physical demands<ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.</li></ul>Travel required No Proficiency Requirement<ul><li>The employee is expected to demonstrate proficiency in all essential job functions, tools, and processes related to this position within the first 90 days of employment.
