Supervisor, Procurement – IT Systems

Job Description:

  • Full responsibility for both services and tangible items
  • Recognition of, and advisement on, the most appropriate procurement type
  • Oversight of the public sector procurement processes to ensure compliance
  • Developing and managing a vast array of contracts including Requests for Proposals, Bids, Quotations
  • Training staff on Lean Methodologies
  • Leading Process improvement projects that impact overall supply chain performance
  • Optimizing supply chain efficiency by implementing best practices
  • Enhancing supplier relationships and driving cost savings throughout the supply chain
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to align procurement strategies with organizational goals

Requirements:

  • Six (6) years of professional procurement and contracts experience in a Procurement Department or Agency
  • Supervisory/lead capacity experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, degree preferably in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • In lieu of the required degree, a High School Diploma, AND a minimum of three (3) Procurement Training Certifications achieved within the last three (3) years will be required:
  • - from recognized professional Procurement/Supply Chain organizations - Public Agency
  • Possession of a certificate as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
  • Six Sigma Certification is desired
