You’ll maintain and migrate complex decision logic using Drools and Kogito, and support the build-out of AI chatbot infrastructure. This role also focuses on converting legacy documentation into a high-performance Knowledge Base using AWS Bedrock and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns.<br><br> </div><div><strong>What you’ll do</strong></div><ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain decision services using Drools (DRL); migrate legacy workflows to cloud-native Kogito microservices.</li> <li>Build and manage AWS Bedrock Knowledge Bases to enable accurate, context-aware AI responses.</li> <li>Create automated pipelines to extract, clean, and convert legacy documentation into optimized formats (Markdown/vector-ready), stored in Amazon S3.</li> <li>Develop secure, high-performance REST APIs using Quarkus or Spring Boot to integrate chatbot capabilities into Java applications.</li> <li>Deploy and scale business automation services in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to improve decision accuracy, performance, and maintainability.</li> </ul><div><strong>Required skills & experience</strong></div><ul> <li>3–5 years of professional Java experience (8/11/17+) with Spring Boot or Quarkus.</li> <li>Hands-on experience writing/debugging Drools rules and implementing DMN (Decision Model and Notation).</li> <li>Proven experience with Kogito for cloud-native business processes.</li> <li>Experience with AWS Bedrock (Knowledge Bases, Agents, and/or prompt engineering).</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Amazon S3 for document storage and metadata tagging.</li> <li>Experience converting legacy HTML/XML documentation into structured formats (Markdown/JSON) for AI usage.</li> <li>Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.</li> </ul><div><strong>Nice to have</strong></div><ul> <li>Experience with vector databases (Amazon OpenSearch, Pinecone, Milvus).</li> <li>Python exposure for document parsing/automation.</li> <li>Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 standards.</li> <li>AWS certifications (Developer Associate and/or Machine Learning Specialty).</li> </ul><div><strong>Ready to make an impact?
