Senior Data Scientist, Commercial Analytics (Pharma) - Marketing Mix
<p>Our client, a leading global pharma company, is seeking a <strong>Senior Data Scientist (AD)</strong> to lead the development of advanced analytics and AI solutions that drive strategic decisions across <strong>Marketing, Sales, Medical, and Market Access</strong>. This role focuses on <strong>Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)</strong>, <strong>resource allocation</strong>, and <strong>machine learning–based personalization</strong> to improve commercial performance and investment efficiency.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Location: ONSITE, Cambridge, MA</strong></li><li><strong>Salary:</strong> to 250K + bonus and incentives</li><li><strong>NO SPONSORSHIP</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead development and deployment of <strong>Marketing Mix Models (MMM)</strong> to quantify channel level promotional impact</li><li>Measure ROI across <strong>field force, digital, media, speaker programs, and patient initiatives</strong></li><li>Build <strong>resource allocation and optimization frameworks</strong> to guide commercial investment decisions</li><li>Support <strong>annual brand planning</strong>, scenario modeling, and in year budget reallocation</li><li>Drive the long term <strong>data science and AI vision</strong> for commercial analytics</li><li>Serve as a strategic partner to <strong>Insights, Marketing, and Access</strong> teams</li><li>Translate brand objectives into scalable analytical solutions and machine learning pipelines</li><li>Guide stakeholders through insight activation and integration into workflows</li><li>Provide technical leadership on analytical tools, model governance, and responsible experimentation</li><li>Collaborate with and mentor a high performing team of data scientists</li><li>Manage external analytics partners to ensure alignment and delivery</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>7+ years</strong> in analytics or data science, including <strong>4+ years</strong> leading data science products, teams, or programs</li><li>Experience in <strong>pharma or biotech</strong>, specifically with <strong>Marketing Mix Modeling</strong> and <strong>commercial optimization</strong></li><li>Strong command of <strong>statistical modeling</strong>, supervised/unsupervised learning, A/B testing, and time series forecasting</li><li>Experience deploying data science solutions in a commercial environment</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>Python, R, SQL, Snowflake</strong>; familiarity with <strong>Power BI, Tableau</strong>, or similar tools</li><li>Proven experience with <strong>omnichannel analytics</strong>, marketing optimization, and machine learning pipelines</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree in <strong>Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics</strong>, or related field</li><li>Experience building proprietary data products or commercial decision engines</li></ul><p></p>
