Support manufacturing through procurement of raw materials and components. Execute supply chain strategies to improve lead-time, while managing out-of-stocks on raw materials. Provide timely and accurate information for internal employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
- Purchase components, raw materials and consumables to support production using lean practices and analysis gathered from the Materials Replenishment Planning (MRP). Take actions to prevent out-of-stocks to satisfy operational requirements.
- Build and maintain integrity of ERP system data in relationship to suppliers, parts pricing, receiving records, lead-times and supplier contact information.
- Shift business needs as requested by production planners and sales team to ensure on-time finished goods to customers. Expedite and/or cancel materials as work orders are adjusted in MRP.
- Keep management, supervisors and co-workers informed of significant variations to Production and Demand Planning on a timely basis.
- Analyze and report vendor performance in relationship to projected and realized volumes, on-time delivery.
- Analyze and report vendor performance in relationship to projected and realized volumes, on-time delivery, pricing and quality of raw materials. Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure integrity of company standards.

SKILLS
- Proven experience as a buyer or relevant role
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating
- Up to speed with purchasing best practices
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of ERP Systems (e.g. Netsuite) is an advantage
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field will be considered a plus
