With a strong global presence across mining, civil, and energy sectors, we are committed to innovation, technical excellence, and customer success.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">About The Opportunity </span></p> <p>We are seeking a results-driven <span style="font-weight: bold">Sales Manager</span> to lead and scale our sales team focused on delivering cutting-edge <span style="font-weight: bold">Software solutions for the geotechnical engineering sector</span>. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, responsible for managing a team of 3+ sales professionals, driving pipeline growth, and closing complex technical deals in the mining and civil industry.</p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Key Responsibilities:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Lead, coach, and manage</span> a high-performing sales team (Account Executives, Account managers and Sales admin), ensuring alignment with company goals and KPIs.</li> <li><span style="font-weight: bold">Own and drive the sales strategy</span> for software geotechnical products and services across targeted regions or verticals.</li> <li>Develop and execute a go-to-market (GTM) strategy in collaboration with marketing, product, and customer success teams.</li> <li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding relationships with key enterprise accounts, engineering firms, and government agencies.</li> <li>Use CRM tools ( Salesforce) to analyze pipeline data, forecast revenue, and report on performance metrics to executive leadership.</li> <li>Maintain a deep understanding of the geotechnical engineering landscape, client needs, and evolving SaaS trends to tailor solutions effectively.</li> <li>Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and complex solution selling with a value-based sales approach.</li> <li>Drive team performance through sales enablement, training, coaching, and regular 1:1s.</li> <li>Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide client feedback and help shape future SaaS offerings.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Requirements:</span></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of Software sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing multi-person sales teams.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of the geotechnical engineering industry or related sectors (civil engineering, construction tech, GIS, or environmental engineering).</li> <li>Proven success in solution selling to technical buyers, including engineers, project managers, and procurement teams.</li> <li>Experience managing long sales cycles and complex B2B/enterprise deals.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to build and scale a team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.</li> <li>Proficiency in using modern sales tech stacks (CRM, analytics, outreach tools).</li> <li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Preferred Qualifications</span></p> <ul> <li>Experience selling technical software in geospatial, mining, or construction environments.</li> <li>Established network in the geotechnical or engineering consulting space.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Why Rocscience?</span></p> <p>At Rocscience, we live by our values of innovation, excellence, accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
