Communicates and resolves Quality-related issues in a<br><br>fast-paced manufacturing environment. Supports the Quality and<br><br>Manufacturing functions by educating employees on quality systems,<br><br>quality metrics, and customer engineering. Develops and empowers Quality<br><br>personnel while improving relationships between Manufacturing and<br><br>Quality. Is a leader within the department, holding employees<br><br>accountable for business ethics and daily performance.<br><br><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Hires and trains front-line employees.</li><li> Organizes, directs, and oversees the schedules and work of<br><br></li></ul>front-line employees.<br><br><ul><li> Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.</li><li> Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with<br><br></li></ul>company policy.<br><br><ul><li> Works with department leaders to monitor each department and make<br><br></li></ul>recommendations to improve performance that impacts the organization<br><br>**Position Responsibilities**<br><br><ul><li> Oversee the Quality department to ensure delivery of high quality<br><br></li></ul>products that meet the customers needs<br><br><ul><li> Provide training, learning and development where appropriate for all<br><br></li></ul>employees<br><br><ul><li> Provide training as required in the quality system concepts, audit<br><br></li></ul>techniques, approaches corrective/preventative actions and<br><br>continuous improvement activities.<br><br><ul><li> Partner with other departments to ensure the adherence to the<br><br></li></ul><strong>Quality Management System And Other Compliance Requirements.<br><br></strong><ul><li> Collaborates with operations, leaders, purchasing, customer service<br><br></li></ul>and others to efficiently meet customer demand.<br><br><ul><li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and<br><br></li></ul>deal with internal and external customers<br><br><ul><li> Supports all regulatory and customer quality audits</li><li> Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.</li><li> Provide visibility to management of potential quality issues, as<br><br></li></ul>well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and<br><br>Delivery performance.<br><br><ul><li> Works with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel to perform<br><br></li></ul>in process review and assure best practices are followed.<br><br><ul><li> Review applicable organizational policies and procedures, ensuring<br><br></li></ul>accuracy and relevance, communicating policy and procedure updates<br><br>and changes<br><br><ul><li> Performs other related duties, as required<br><br></li></ul>**Tasks**<br><br><ul><li> Has the capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable<br><br></li></ul>inspections by asking the right questions to get to the root cause<br><br>of the problem<br><br><ul><li> Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities<br><br></li></ul>and shifting time requirements.<br><br><ul><li> Makes decisions based on customer/regulatory requirements</li><li> Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group<br><br></li></ul>environments<br><br><ul><li> Confer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss<br><br></li></ul>issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems.<br><br><ul><li> Implement corrective actions to address organizational or<br><br></li></ul>departmental issues.<br><br><ul><li> Must be an engaged leader with a hands on approach to quality<br><br></li></ul>improvement<br><br><ul><li> Act as liaison between organization and outside organizations.</li><li> Fully understanding the financial impact of decisions made on a<br><br></li></ul>daily basis, including closely monitored non-value added cost in an<br><br>effort to reduce or eliminate.<br><br><ul><li> Work closely with shop floor supervision and employees</li><li> Analyze customer miss-deliveries in order to propose improvement<br><br></li></ul>action plans: Define and optimize data gathering and exchange to<br><br>ensure data integrity in systems.<br><br><ul><li> Assess and report project opportunities, risks and potential<br><br></li></ul>solutions.<br><br><ul><li> Conducts classroom training including new hire training, COV<br><br></li></ul>training and other relevant training courses as assigned.
