You will have an opportunity to work with an energetic, passionate team that is committed to growth by helping our customers grow their business and building a best-in-class system, as well as a great place to work.</span></span></span><br><br><span style="line-height:normal;">You will be a <strong>Production</strong> <strong>Underwriter</strong> that is part of our <b>Community Associations</b> program which specializes and serves a variety of associations such as condominiums, homeowners, and cooperatives for new business and renewals. The primary responsibilities include account pipeline management, risk selection, qualification, and pricing within the program guidelines and objectives, and selling the proposal to insurance brokers. This involves communicating, working, and negotiating directly with brokers and includes duties such as ensuring the accuracy of underwriting information, determining eligibility, ensuring insurance files are well documented, responding to questions and addressing issues, and servicing change requests.</span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></span><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Solicit and shepherd new submissions based on program appetite.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Build and manage a new business pipeline through outbound interaction with brokers including outbound phone calls and in-person broker visits.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Gather competitor information and market intelligence and understand trends to identify opportunities for improvements to products and pricing.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Manage new submissions to ensure proper risk selection, premium and coverage.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Underwrite community association risks by identifying and analyzing risk exposures, loss frequency and severity against desired coverage.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Provide and create solutions for a broad range of inquiries from brokers and team members.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Seek out cross marketing opportunities.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Manage renewals to maximize policy retention including midterm servicing with various carriers and brokers, within your authority in an assigned territory.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Develop relationships with brokers, with the "customer experience" in mind, and deliver exceptional experiences with every interaction, in all modes of communication.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Work independently within deadlines while understanding the necessity for appropriate prioritization, communicating and coordinating work efforts with stakeholders.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Maintain quality control, compliance and proper documentation.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Promote teamwork and organizational success, while accepting accountability QUALIFICATIONS</span></strong></span><ul><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Minimum 8 years of in-depth <strong>commercial package policy</strong> underwriting experience.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Community Associations with high CAT exposure experience preferred.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Having a professional designation(s) is a plus.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Analytical and quantitative skills.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Must be self-driven, detail-oriented, flexible/adaptable, comfortable in a growing ever-changing organization, and have knowledge of commercial lines products. </span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Must possess strong and effective negotiation,
