Production Operator Receiving
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Palletizer, Blend/Filler/CIP/Mix/Packaging/Loader operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs
. Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line
. Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced
. Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks
. Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
. Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment; complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run
. Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
. Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
. Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
. Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
. Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Safely operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load trucks and move inventory from one location to another.
- Perform routine machine adjustments.
- Accurately maintain inventory records and paperwork.
- Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required.
- Accurately maintain shipping paperwork.
- Assist with powder sampling in accordance with U.S.D.A. guidelines
. Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues

Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
. High school diploma or equivalent
. 1 to 3 years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods industry
. Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
. Knowledge of plant operations
. Proficiency with company computer systems
. Able to operate production equipment, components, and peripheral accessories
. Able to work independently and as part of a team
. Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
. Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
. Able to take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems
. Able to perform task and duties under general supervision
. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
. Must be able to read, write and speak English
