About the Role:
The Payment Coordinator is an entry-level position that provides administrative support to both the Payroll and Accounts Payable teams. Responsibilities include assisting with payment processing, managing employee benefits and tax deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role also involves supporting the full-cycle processing of weekly and biweekly payroll, as well as assisting with invoice processing. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing
- Prepare instant checks for employees as needed
- Provide regular payroll reporting to finance, HR and other departments as needed
- Conduct UTM (Ultimate Software Time Management) timesheet review/audit
- Monitor Accrued Vacation, Floating Holidays, and Sick Pay
- Maintain electronic local tax records
- Maintain accurate and up to date garnishment records, including timely setup and processing of new garnishments in accordance with legal requirements.
- Prepare union sick and monthly hours reporting
- Monitor incoming payroll-related physical mail and manage the payroll email inbox, ensuring all inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner
- Support Accounts Payable invoice processing during non-payroll processing dates
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Base Salary Range: $29 - $34 Hourly

- AA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 1+ years of experience in the payroll field preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and detail oriented
- Multi-state taxation experience preferred
- Fundamental payroll accounting experience preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Union contract experience preferred
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment labor laws
- Adept in managing time and competing priorities
