Part Time - Pastry Chef / Baker- approx 12 hours per week - Evenings
Part Time - Pastry chef, 2 shifts per week (approx 12 hours) for a busy Australian café in Jersey City serving quality, healthy breakfast & lunch & Coffee & house made pastries in Jersey City.
We are looking for a professional, skilled , trained pastry chef (approx. 12 hours per week)
2 days per week evenings 5pm - 10pm (some flexibility) to do our baking prep and bake off

Responsibilities
- Have high knowledge of pastry recipes & techniques, food handling skills, be able to work autonomously and independently after sufficient training.
- Maintain a safe working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines
- Manage inventory and replenishment, prep area, tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean workspace and clean up after baking shift.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (lift up to 50lbs) and use hands repetitively for pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 year experience in baking ,food service/hospitality including preparation
- Legally allowed to work in USA
- NJ or NY Food handler’s license (preferred) but not required
- Must present well, can do attitude and thrive in fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math and written communication skills
Compensation Benefits
- $18 - $20 hour for the right person
