Part-Time Laboratory Technician (Potential for Full-Time)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support daily clinical laboratory operations. This is a part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and operational needs. We are ideally looking for a recent undergraduate graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and some laboratory experience.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and evaluate specimens for acceptance or rejection
- Accession samples and perform data entry into the laboratory information system
- Label and aliquot specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Process samples for testing (e.g., serum, whole blood)
- Store and manage specimens in designated refrigerators and freezers
- Maintain accurate documentation and sample tracking
- Follow laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements, including Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and College of American Pathologists (CAP) guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or another science-related field required
- Recent undergraduate graduates are encouraged to apply
- Prior laboratory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow laboratory protocols and regulatory standards
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
