Packaging Technician

<p><strong>Packaging Mechanic</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Virginia, USA</p><p>ROLE OVERVIEW</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time</p><p>Looking for a Packaging Mechanic with experience in bottle packaging lines within pharmaceutical, food, supplements, or manufacturing industries. The role involves machine setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and ensuring smooth production line operations.</p><p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>• Set up and change over bottle packaging machines</p><p>• Perform machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance</p><p>• Operate and maintain packaging equipment and conveyors</p><p>• Handle mechanical and basic electrical repairs</p><p>• Inspect machines and ensure product quality standards</p><p>• Read equipment manuals and follow SOPs/cGMP guidelines</p><p>• Support equipment installation and maintenance activities</p><p>• Train and guide packaging operators</p><p>• Maintain safety, hygiene, and documentation standards</p><p>MACHINES / EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED</p><p>Experience with machines such as:</p><p>• Bottle unscrambler</p><p>• Tablet counter</p><p>• Capper & induction sealer</p><p>• Labeler</p><p>• Heat shrink tunnel</p><p>• Cartoner</p><p>• Case packer/taper</p><p>• QR code printers</p><p>• Conveyors and dust collectors</p><p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE</p><p>• 2+ years of experience in bottle packaging line maintenance</p><p>• Experience in pharmaceutical, food, nutraceutical, or supplement manufacturing</p><p>• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills</p><p>EDUCATION</p><p>• Associate degree, diploma, or technical certification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field</p><p>SKILLS REQUIRED</p><p>• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair knowledge</p><p>• Basic electrical understanding</p><p>• Knowledge of cGMP and safety standards</p><p>• Ability to read blueprints/schematics</p><p>• Basic computer skills</p><p>• PLC knowledge is an added advantage</p><p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</p><p>• Overtime and weekend work may be required</p><p>• Multiple shifts available</p><p>• Relocation support available for selected candidates</p>
