The Opportunity
- Are you a passionate Mental Health Professional and looking for a role that truly makes a difference, while working from home?
- Join our dedicated Virtual Mental health team and help provide vital support to people experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including those with high acuity needs.
- In this role, you will provide phone and web-based support, including mental health assessment and triage, risk assessment and safety planning, psychoeducation and brief interventions, referrals to appropriate mental health services, and crisis intervention.
About You
- To be successful in your application for this role you will have:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy OR a Masters/ PHD or Doctorate in Psychology (Please note that candidates with a different qualification will not be considered for this role)
- Registration/Professional Membership (unrestricted AHPRA registration or AASW Membership or ability to obtain it)
Minimum 3 years' recent full-time
(or equivalent) experience in acute mental health settings, such as Mental Health Triage Services, Crisis Teams, Mental Health Emergency Departments or Inpatient Units (including experience working with adult populations).
- Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and experience in actively assessing, managing and supporting individuals who are currently experiencing acute, active symptoms/episodes across a range of mental health concerns including psychosis, acute suicidality, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of common private and public referral and treatment pathways within a stepped model of care provision.
- Computer competency and fluency - Ability to manage multiple computer systems, talk and type with speed of 50WPM and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
- Flexibility - Willingness to adapt current clinical skills to new models of intervention as required by individual programs.
Training and start dates
- Comprehensive full-time paid virtual training (9.00 am to 5.00 pm VIC/NSW time) with a start dates on the
25th May and 22nd June
. (Please note you must be available to complete the full training to be considered for this role)
- After training you will receive ongoing support from our experienced team of Senior clinicians who will guide you in your journey with us.
Hours and FTE
- We offer
part-time (minimum of 22.5 hrs per week)
to
full-time (37.5 hrs)
contracts, working shifts between 9.00
