Lab Technician

  • Location: 19103 Gundle Rd. Houston, TX 77044
  • Schedule: 7 to 7 (12 hours shifts) rotating every 4 weeks (must be available to work mornings and nights) 3's and 4's days per week (must be available to work all week including weekends)
  • Direct Hire role- Full Benefits.

Position Overview

This position exists to perform lab tests to determine the physical characteristics of materials for quality and process control and product development.

Essential Job Functions

· Set up, adjust and operate lab equipment and instruments.

· Test finished goods for density, tensile properties, and other required metrics.

· Test product samples for specific conformance.

· Maintain the lab in a clean and orderly fashion.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds.

· Basic math skills.

· Computer literate

· Basic Microsoft office skills preferred.

Experience:

  • Plastic Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Plastic Extrusion machinery: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Plastics injection molding machinery: 2 years (Preferred)
  • working rotating schedule: 2 years (Preferred)
