Kennel Technician and Receptionist

Your hands-on work with animals will include caring for pets, assisting with training and grooming, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Duties

• Greet clients warmly, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage front desk operations efficiently
• Assist pet owners with check-in and check-out processes, providing excellent customer service and clear communication
• Care for animals by feeding, cleaning kennels, administering medications, and monitoring their health and behavior
• Handle animal handling and restraint with confidence to ensure safety during grooming, training, ect.
• Support dog training sessions and pet grooming appointments to enhance pet well-being and owner satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animal transport within the facility

Qualifications

• Prior experience in veterinary assisting, kennel work, pet grooming, pet sitting or animal handling is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal care practices
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during busy shifts
• Basic understanding of pet care, animal restraint, and safety protocols in a kennel environment
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and dedication to their well-being
