<p><strong><em>Java Developer </em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Contract Position</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Redwood City, CA - Hybrid - 2 days (Tuesday/Thursday)</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p>iitjobs is looking for a Strong Java backend Developer to join our team to build scalable, high-performance backend services and distributed systems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services and distributed apps.</li><li>Build real-time streaming pipelines with Kafka.</li><li>Optimize and tune PostgreSQL databases.</li><li>Implement observability and dashboards with Grafana and related tools.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5–8 years of hands-on Java backend experience.</li><li>Proficiency with Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Grafana.</li><li>Basic networking fundamentals (protocols, routers, core concepts).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul><li>Golang and/or Python.</li><li>Telemetry/observability platforms.</li><li>Apache Flink, Prometheus, Thanos, MDT (Model-Driven Telemetry).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.</li></ul><p></p>
