[Hiring] Physician- Pediatric Radiologist with Overnight Work @Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Role Description

This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the provision of high-quality medical care to children and adolescents in the respective clinical area.

  • Join the Pediatric Radiology Body Division with over 40 pediatric radiologists.
  • Academic or clinical tracks available to focus on areas of interest.
  • Full-time or part-time options available, including remote work.
  • Requires 50% clinical effort dedicated to overnight work.
  • Work 7 nights followed by 14 days off as part of the nocturnal radiology team.

Qualifications

  • Completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric radiology.
  • Eligible to take the ABR Subspecialty Exam (CAQ) in pediatric radiology.
  • Comfortable with interpretation of emergent pediatric neuroradiology CT studies.

Requirements

  • Employment through the Emory + Children’s Pediatric Institute.
  • Faculty rank commensurate with experience.
  • Position involves working with radioactive materials or devices.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
  • BLS or PALS certification required.
  • Current DEA registration.

  • Graduate of an accredited, four-year medical school.
  • Graduate of an accredited, post-graduate residency program in Radiology.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Radiology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care in compliance with Professional Staff Bylaws and Children’s policies.
  • Incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
  • Serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
  • Educates and assists trainees with medical decision making.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of physician services rendered.
  • Ensures timely communication to facilitate patient care and reimbursement.
  • Responds to patient and clinical staff questions and requests.
  • Participates in meetings/activities to support clinical operations.
  • Engages in professional development and maintains required certifications.
  • Performs other responsibilities as required.
