Event Coordinator
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to join our catering company. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing successful events for our clients. Your primary focus will be on coordinating and ensuring that all aspects of the event, including catering, logistics, and customer satisfaction, are executed flawlessly. This position requires a 100% in-office presence, and strong phone and computer skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and provide personalized event planning and coordination services.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, menu planning, rental logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create customized menus that meet clients' preferences and dietary requirements.
- Manage event timelines to ensure that all tasks and milestones are completed within the agreed-upon time frames.
- Arrange and oversee all pre-event meetings and site visits to ensure a deep understanding of the event logistics and requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure successful event execution, including equipment setup, floral arrangements, and audiovisuals.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided throughout the event, maintaining high client satisfaction levels.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving processes and enhancing the overall event experience.
- Adhere to the guidelines outlined in of the company's Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role in the catering or events industry.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, technical, written, and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in event planning software and MS Office.
- Knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation regulations.
- A flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Familiarity with local vendors, venues, and suppliers.
- Experience working in fine dining or high-end catering environments.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
