Drafting Paralegal Superstar-Fast Growing Law Firm
If the following describes you, you may be exactly who we are looking for:
- You quietly believe that, given a checklist and enough coffee, you can out-perform almost anyone in the building.
- You enjoy bringing calm to busy situations.
- You care about the outcome, not just completing the assignment.
- You believe no question is too big, too small, or too ridiculous to answer kindly.
- You don’t need constant excitement. Give you a clear system, a checklist, and a deadline, and you’re in your happy place.
- You are comfortable in an environment where growth occasionally requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to jump in.
- You care deeply about helping maintain a high standard because you genuinely take pride in your work, your team, and the impact of the work you do.
- You know there are larger issues facing humanity, but the incorrect usage of bulleted lists versus numbered lists still seems like something we should collectively address.
Who We Are
The Law Office of Andrew Rowe provides top-tier estate planning and probate services, and we are proud of the work we do and the people we serve.
As a growing firm, once trust, ownership, and performance have been established, we strive for flexibility and autonomy.
We believe the best work comes from a close-knit team that enjoys working together, communicates honestly and charitably, takes pride in serving the community, and is committed to building something exceptional without burning out in the process.
Basic Responsibilities
This role sits at the center of our estate planning workflow and helps keep matters moving smoothly from start to finish.
You will spend a large portion of your time drafting and revising estate planning documents using drafting software and internal systems, carefully reviewing documents for formatting, consistency, accuracy, and completeness. You will also help coordinate client communication, scheduling, signing meetings, and follow-up throughout the estate planning process.
This role is not purely “back office.” You will regularly communicate with clients to answer process questions, coordinate next steps, assist lawyers and the team with execution meetings, and help ensure clients feel informed and taken care of during what can often be an overwhelming process.
As a fast-growing firm, we are continually refining systems and workflows. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, keeping things organized, and jumping in where needed to help the team succeed.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in helping produce exceptional work while supporting both the team and the families we serve.
Non-Negotiables
- You communicate professionally, warmly, and clearly with both clients and coworkers.
- You can manage a large volume of moving tasks without losing attention to detail.
- You are comfortable learning and using multiple software systems, workflows, and technologies.
- You are adaptable when things must evolve quickly to keep up with growth.
- You know how to keep things moving without making clients feel rushed.
- You are dependable, responsive, and capable of solving problems without requiring constant supervision.
- You are comfortable both working independently and collaborating closely with a team.
- You understand that no task is “beneath you” when helping a team succeed and clients feel cared for.
- You are inherently comfortable wrangling the written word. Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling is a must.
- You must be available to work in-office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Strong Backgrounds Include Any of the Following:
- Estate planning drafting or drafting heavy paralegal experience
- Experience managing high volumes of legal documents with precision and consistency
- Experience communicating directly with clients in a law firm
- Being the next Sherlock Holmes of deed searches
- Professional experience in technical writing/editing
