Computer Systems Technician
<p><strong><u>The Role:</u></strong></p><p>The role involves a combination of Computer System Assembly/Operation/Debug and Maintenance, Inventory Management, and Shipping Logistics. Experience and comfort with PC hardware is required.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>The Person:</u></strong></p><p>Organized, with attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes Can work in a team environment, while also able to work independently Experience with computer system assembly, operation and troubleshooting Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to multi-task</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>System Building – Assembly and validation of benchtop computer platforms in the lab</li><li>System Debug – Troubleshooting and resolution of issues with platforms as needed</li><li>System Maintenance – Regular monitoring, maintenance and assessment of platforms</li><li>Flashing BIOS versions, updating firmware, installing OS software</li><li>Visual Inspection and cleaning of CPUs</li><li>Testing CPUs on multiple systems for verification, using proprietary test suite, and logging test results in the data capture tool</li><li>Inventory management of hardware and CPUs in the lab</li><li>Shipping Logistics – Handle documentation and communications with Global Logistics team regarding incoming and outgoing shipments</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Preferred Experience:</u></strong></p><ul><li>2+ years of experience with PC hardware assembly, operation and debug</li><li>Experience handling computer components in an ESD-safe environment</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and issue tracking systems (JIRA or similar)</li><li>Previous experience with Inventory Management</li><li>Previous experience testing CPUs</li><li>Previous experience working in an RMA team role</li></ul><p></p>
