The responsibilities include performing invoice processing, invoice payment tasks independently without guidance and based on written instructions.What You Will Do<ul><li>Work with global teams geographically and across all Harman businesses</li><li>Perform daily tasks fully independently and in accordance with written instructions</li><li>Process incoming direct and indirect invoices</li><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders for issue resolution – Vendor Master Data / Disbursement / Logistics / Procurement</li><li>Initiate supplier data changes, validate bank account changes</li><li>Escalate problematic invoices to the appropriate level to pursue resolution</li><li>Ensure the proper tax codes are selected at the time of accounting (TDS / GST / VAT / SUT)</li><li>Comply with Harman policies, internal and external audit requirements</li><li>Collect Customs Declaration Slips from Supply Chain Department for cross border payment (if required by local regulations)</li><li>Track automated (ERS) postings (where applicable) and do corrections if necessary<ul><li>Communicate with external suppliers in case of any incoming inquiries (e-mail, phone)</li><li>Handle Supplier balance confirmations</li><li>Handle and coordinate urgent payments with Disbursement team</li><li>Handle payment notifications</li></ul></li><li>Complete month-end closing tasks independently in a timely manner</li><li>Collaborate with the line manager to fulfill external and internal audit requests</li><li>Preparation of BRS and follow-up pending items for closure</li><li>Complete ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager</li><li>Collaborate within the entire Accounts Payable function and with the line manager</li><li>Provide back-up for selected team member(s) as appointed by the line manager</li><li>Prepare / update process documentation and process mapping</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement in the process by providing timely feedback</li><li>Participate in all new system initiative testing activities and provide relevant results</li><li>Create/oversee weekly automatic payment run (BCM)</li><li>Create manual payments and non-AP related payments in the bank portal – Non BCM</li><li>Prepare Forecast/cash flow details to Treasury</li><li>Collaborate with AP accountants, Treasury, banks, Supplier Care team </li></ul>What You Need to Be Successful<ul><li>Years of experience : 4+ years</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal</li><li>Openness to learn new systems / processes and apply knowledge in everyday work</li><li>Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications required</li><li>Willingness to work in flexible timings and meet strict deadlines</li><li>Strong analytical and interpersonal skills</li><li>Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to effectively work in a team in a matrix environment</li><li>Knowledge of TDS / GST tax laws applicable for India</li><li>Knowledge of tax applicable for US and Europe</li></ul>Bonus Points if You Have<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce combined with relevant experience</li><li>ERP / SAP system knowledge.
