At HARMAN Corporate, you are integral to our company’s award-winning success.</p><ul><li><p>Enrich your managerial and organizational talents – from finance, quality, and supply chain to human resources, IT, sales, and strategy</p></li><li><p>Augment your comprehensive skillset with expert training across decision-making, change management, leadership, and business development</p></li><li><p>Obtain 360-degree support throughout your career life cycle, from early-stage to seasoned leader</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p>This is a staff level position in Accounts Payable.  The responsibilities include performing invoice processing, invoice payment tasks independently without guidance and based on written instructions.</p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do</b></p><ul><li><p>Work with global teams geographically and across all Harman businesses</p></li><li><p>Perform daily tasks fully independently and in accordance with written instructions</p></li><li><p>Process incoming direct and indirect invoices</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with internal stakeholders for issue resolution – Vendor Master Data / Disbursement / Logistics / Procurement</p></li><li><p>Initiate supplier data changes, validate bank account changes</p></li><li><p>Escalate problematic invoices to the appropriate level to pursue resolution</p></li><li><p>Ensure the proper tax codes are selected at the time of accounting (TDS / GST / VAT / SUT)</p></li><li><p>Comply with Harman policies, internal and external audit requirements</p></li><li><p>Collect Customs Declaration Slips from Supply Chain Department for cross border payment (if required by local regulations)</p></li><li><p>Track automated (ERS) postings (where applicable) and do corrections if necessary</p><ul><li><p>Communicate with external suppliers in case of any incoming inquiries (e-mail, phone)</p></li><li><p>Handle Supplier balance confirmations</p></li><li><p>Handle and coordinate urgent payments with Disbursement team</p></li><li><p>Handle payment notifications</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Complete month-end closing tasks independently in a timely manner</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with the line manager to fulfill external and internal audit requests</p></li><li><p>Preparation of BRS and follow-up pending items for closure</p></li><li><p>Complete ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager</p></li><li><p>Collaborate within the entire Accounts Payable function and with the line manager</p></li><li><p>Provide back-up for selected team member(s) as appointed by the line manager</p></li><li><p>Prepare / update process documentation and process mapping</p></li><li><p>Contribute to continuous improvement in the process by providing timely feedback</p></li><li><p>Participate in all new system initiative testing activities and provide relevant results</p></li><li><p>Create/oversee weekly automatic payment run (BCM)</p></li><li><p>Create manual payments and non-AP related payments in the bank portal – Non BCM</p></li><li><p>Prepare Forecast/cash flow details to Treasury</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with AP accountants, Treasury, banks, Supplier Care team </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You Need to Be Successful</b></p><ul><li><p>Years of experience :  4+ years</p></li><li><p>Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal</p></li><li><p>Openness to learn new systems / processes and apply knowledge in everyday work</p></li><li><p>Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications required</p></li><li><p>Willingness to work in flexible timings and meet strict deadlines</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively work in a team in a matrix environment</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of TDS / GST tax laws applicable for India</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of tax applicable for US and Europe</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Bonus Points if You Have</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce combined with relevant experience</p></li><li><p>ERP / SAP system knowledge.
