Associate Data Engineer
<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>The Associate Data Engineer assists with the sourcing, transformation, and analysis of data and developing ETL logic to support existing and future deployments. </p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support sourcing, transformation, and analysis by assisting senior team members in development, maintenance, and deployment of data pipelines and ETL logic</li> <ul> <li>Assist in the sourcing, transformation, and analysis of data under the guidance of senior team members</li> <li>Support the development of ETL logic and pipelines for existing and future deployments</li> <li>Assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines supporting a medallion architecture as part of the organization's data modernization initiatives</li> </ul> <li>Participate in technical data management functions including creating, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data</li> <li>Collaborate with teammates and business partners to help build technical solutions that are reusable, scalable, and maintainable across large datasets</li> <li>Develop and maintain working knowledge in data reporting, management, and transformation technologies</li> <li>Actively learn new and existing tools, resources, and processes</li> <li>Assist in the implementation of data architecture and solutions</li> <li>Develop and deliver code under supervision to support existing and future deployments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience and Education Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, a math-related field, or a related discipline with 0 years of experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>0-2 years of experience working with data structures or in a related technical role</li> <li>Introductory exposure to algorithm design</li> <li>Some exposure to SQL Server, IDMC, Informatica PowerCenter, Snowflake, and/or Control-M</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience writing basic SQL queries and interpreting simple data models</li> <li>Experience using database modeling concepts</li> <li>Prior internship or academic project experience in a data-related field is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design concepts</li> <li>Basic familiarity with ETL concepts and data integration principles</li> <li>Analytical and critical-thinking mindset with a desire to develop problem-solving skills</li> <li>Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal</li> <li>Ability to collect, organize, and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with guidance from senior team members</li> <li>Exhibits flexibility and a positive attitude toward ambiguity in a fast-paced, changing environment</li> <li>Results-oriented with a dedicated work ethic</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned</li> <li>Regular and punctual attendance</li> <li>Minimal travel required (less than 10%)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">#IND-HP</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">#LI-MK1</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">#LI-Remote</p> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><h3><strong>Additional Information </strong></h3> <p><strong>Work Environments</strong></p> <p>F&G believes in an employee-centric flexible environment, which is why we offer the ability for in-office, hybrid and remote work arrangements.
