<h2>Job Title: Arista Wireless SME</h2>Location: Remote Work From Home Role: 90 Day Contract to Hire (Potential to convert from Contract to Full Time Employee with benefits) <h2> Position Overview</h2>The Arista Wireless SME is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role within a professional IT services organization, serving as the technical authority for enterprise wireless architecture. This position demands expertise in Arista’s next-generation wireless platforms, with demonstrable experience designing, deploying, and supporting Arista Cognitive Wi-Fi and CloudVision Cognitive Unified Edge (CV-CUE) solutions. The role blends solution design, field deployment leadership, pre-sales technical scoping, and escalation support, operating as both an architect and hands-on technical mentor to delivery teams. <hr><h2> Core Responsibilities</h2><h3>Wireless Architecture & Design</h3><ul><li>Serve as the primary wireless domain expert, with deep, hands-on experience in Arista Wireless architecture, hardware, and cloud-managed technologies</li><li>Design enterprise-grade wireless solutions leveraging Arista’s cognitive networking capabilities, including:<ul><li>CloudVision Cognitive Unified Edge (CV-CUE) centralized management, orchestration, and AI/ML-driven automation planes</li><li>Cognitive Wi-Fi platforms that provide data-driven telemetry, real-time analytics, and automatic optimization of wireless connections as network conditions evolve</li><li>Multi-radio, multifunction AP deployments with support for cutting-edge standards such as Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, zero-touch onboarding, and high-density coverage models </li></ul></li><li>Develop high-level and low-level wireless designs (HLDs/LLDs) incorporating:<ul><li>RF design, capacity planning, AP placement, and cognitive tuning mechanisms</li><li>Zero Trust and WIPS security configurations integrated with cloud orchestration</li><li>Flexible data path options and scalable control-plane architectures inherent to CloudVision’s cognitive approach </li></ul></li></ul><hr><h3> Deployment Leadership & Technical Execution</h3><ul><li>Lead and direct wireless deployment efforts in customer environments and ensure alignment to Arista cognitive design principles</li><li>Mentor and guide junior engineers through:<ul><li>Zero-touch provisioning and onboarding of Arista AP platforms via CV-CUE</li><li>Implementation of AI/ML-enabled analytics and automated remediation features</li><li>Integration of AP connectivity with hosted identity management and external NAC solutions</li></ul></li><li>Validate configurations and deployments to ensure stable, optimized performance across cognitive AP platforms and centralized CloudVision management \ </li></ul><hr><h3> Pre-Sales Scoping & Technical Support</h3><ul><li>Participate in pre-sales scoping calls with sales and delivery leadership</li><li>Provide detailed input on:<ul><li>The effort required to transition customers from legacy Wi-Fi environments to Arista, Cisco, Aruba and other OEM's or managed architectures</li><li>Level of Effort (LOE) estimation for discovery, design, deployment, optimization, and cutover phases</li></ul></li><li>Validate technical assumptions for proposals and SOWs based on real experience with Arista cloud-native wireless technologies </li></ul><hr><h3> Escalation & Customer Assurance</h3><ul><li>Serve as the escalation point for delivery issues related to:<ul><li>Wi-Fi behavior under load and real-world spectrum conditions</li><li>Automation orchestration failures or troubleshooting of AI/ML-driven recommendations</li><li>Cross-domain issues spanning wired/wireless convergence and identity enforcement</li></ul></li><li>Engage directly in customer escalation calls to remediate issues, restore confidence, and guide recovery </li></ul><hr><h2> Required Technical Expertise (Priority Order)</h2><ul><li>Arista Wireless – REQUIRED / NON-NEGOTIABLE<ul><li>Hands-on design, deployment, and operational experience with:<ul><li>Arista Cognitive Wi-Fi access point platforms (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7)</li><li>CloudVision Cognitive Unified Edge (CV-CUE) centralized management and cognitive analytics</li><li>AI/ML-driven automation, telemetry, and troubleshooting inherent to Arista cognitive networking </li></ul></li></ul></li><li>HPE Aruba Wireless<ul><li>Enterprise Aruba wireless design and deployment experience</li></ul></li><li>Juniper Wireless<ul><li>Familiarity with Juniper Mist and related wireless platforms</li></ul></li><li>Cisco Wireless<ul><li>Experience with Cisco enterprise wireless architectures</li></ul></li><li>Nile Wireless<ul><li>Exposure to or hands-on experience with Nile wireless solutions </li></ul></li></ul><hr><h2> Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Track record of enterprise wireless design and deployment, with at least the majority of experience on Arista cognitive wireless solutions</li><li>Demonstrable ability to lead design and delivery teams and mentor engineers in real time</li><li>Communication skills to interact confidently with technical and executive stakeholders</li><li>Ability to balance design, deployment, and escalation responsibilities simultaneously </li></ul><hr><h2> Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Prior experience in IT professional services or consulting</li><li>Multi-vendor wireless migration expertise</li><li>Wireless certifications, particularly with Arista technologies</li><li>Experience developing technical scoping documentation, proposals, and LOE estimates </li></ul><hr><h2> Role Characteristics</h2><ul><li>Combination of technical leadership, hands-on execution, pre-sales engagement, and post-deployment escalation support</li><li>Acts as the architectural authority for Arista wireless engagements</li></ul>
