Qualifications / Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or front desk role; healthcare experience preferred (medical office assistant, clinic administrative assistant)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities for a busy hematology clinic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient-facing/front desk work
- Proficiency with scheduling systems and office software; experience with EHR/EMR platforms a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism; knowledge of HIPAA best practices preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations: greet patients and visitors, create a welcoming environment
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently using clinic scheduling systems
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient and provider inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with clinic policies
- Support the hematology office team with administrative tasks and workflow coordination
- Ensure the reception and waiting area remain organized and patient-ready
