Account Manager West Coast
<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p> <p>The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned accounts to drive revenue and profitability, with a focus on <strong>parking access automation, parking solutions, and access control systems in industrial sectors</strong>. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies across new and existing customers, identifying market opportunities, and promoting our full range of product offerings to achieve or exceed sales goals.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Manage assigned accounts to achieve revenue and margin goals in alignment with budget, with emphasis on parking automation and industrial access control markets.</li><li>Identify and pursue opportunities for growth, including new customers, product expansion, and deeper market penetration within parking and industrial sectors.</li><li>Recommend product positioning and pricing strategies that support long-term market share and profitability in parking and industrial access control applications.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, integrators, and strategic partners in the parking and industrial access industries.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, project management, customer service) to deliver customized solutions and resolve customer issues promptly.</li><li>Maintain a consistent corporate image across all customer interactions, proposals, and events.</li><li>Attend trade association meetings and industry events to promote company solutions, products and generate qualified leads.</li><li>Support the sales team in managing key accounts, negotiating deals, and closing opportunities.</li><li>Analyze sales data and market trends to assess performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective strategies.</li><li>Monitor and manage expenses in accordance with departmental budget guidelines.</li><li>Assist other departments as necessary to meet broader business objectives and overall business objectives.</li></ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, Economics, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar customer-facing sales role, with a track record of success in parking access automation, parking and security solutions, or industrial access control systems.</li><li>Strong understanding of technologies and applications in parking operations, automated access control, and industrial access control systems.</li><li>Ability to travel 50–60% of the time for client visits, site assessments, trade shows, and industry events.</li><li>Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship management skills.</li><li>Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.</li><li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/sales management software.</li><li>Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build consensus, and drive measurable results.</li><li>Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., trade show setup).</li></ul>
