Job Summary (List Format):

- Serve as expert-level Business Analyst and Tester for enterprise on-premise and cloud applications at CalPERS.
- Lead detailed analysis, functional design, and system enhancement activities for enterprise systems and sub-systems.
- Facilitate and lead Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with business and technical SMEs to gather and validate requirements.
- Create, maintain, and update business requirements documents, design artifacts, functional documentation, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Analyze business processes, perform business process reengineering (BPR), map current and future state processes, and identify process gaps.
- Design and execute functional test plans, including test scenarios, scripts, and test data for change requests, defect fixes, and BI dashboards.
- Build and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports using Power BI to support data analysis and decision-making.
- Perform regression testing, assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and document and track test results and defects.
- Collaborate with IT staff and program area teams to triage, resolve, and report on system issues and defects.
- Develop and troubleshoot backend SQL queries in Oracle 11g/19c for data verification and setup.
- Support knowledge transfer through collaborative documentation, code commenting, cross-training, and job shadowing.
- Report status updates and maintain documentation of as-is and to-be processes.
- Bring experience with large data processing, cloud deployments (Azure or AWS), and public pension or governmental retirement benefits systems.
